Net Positive was the design engineer of record for the mechanical, plumbing and fire sprinkler services on for the support building and equipment yard housing the pool equipment, lockers, restroom, and office with support buildings and infrastructure for an additional pool.
The mechanical and plumbing design of this was especially intricate as it featured a decarbonized approach which is especially challenging while maintaining a pool temperature within 1 degree of the set point during the winter months while also supplying hot water to all showers. The solution included a combination of an electric water heater for domestic heating and heat pump chillers for the pool cooling and heating.
