Sanger High School’s Central Plant and Gym HVAC modernization was delivered as a complete, DSA-approved upgrade that improved comfort, reliability, and energy performance across the campus, while keeping school operations on track. The project replaced aging air handling and cooling systems while optimizing distribution to meet current Title 24 standards.
The project eliminated expanding cooling capacity and added cooling within two gyms, with specific design consideration focused on utilizing existing piping infrastructure which reduced site work. The final solution included five new custom air handler to reduce roof weight and noise, high-efficiency air-cooled chillers and associated pumps, valves, and hydronic specialties.
The new design simplified plant operations, reduced maintenance demands, and improved system reliability while aligning with the District’s energy and performance goals. Net Positive led all phases of design development and DSA coordination, including Title 24 documentation, construction documents, and subconsultant integration.
