Net Positive provided mechanical, fire sprinkler, and plumbing design for this existing 2-story building being repurposed with all new infrastructure to support modern curriculum. The building has been expanded three times, under different codes and with different construction types, thus presenting many challenges and design opportunities to the architectural and engineering team. This project presented spatial limitations, complex fire rating systems and new programs requiring major utility upgrades. The final design was refined to meet cost and DSA specific modernization/upgrade limitations. The solutions included new closet air handlers, a fire pump room, and fire sprinklers throughout the building.
