Net Positive Consulting Engineers provided full mechanical design services for energy efficiency improvements at a Washington Unified School Districts various buildings and campuses. The project replaced outdated evaporative cooling systems with modern direct expansion (DX) cooling and gas heating units, enhancing thermal comfort and reducing maintenance demands.
The design package included mechanical plans, equipment schedules, and Title 24 compliance documentation, as well as plumbing design for natural gas and condensate connections. Net Positive also provided specifications and coordination with DSA and on-site project inspectors throughout the life of the project.
The upgraded HVAC system delivers reliable year-round comfort, improved indoor air quality, and measurable energy performance gains aligned with the District’s long-term sustainability goals.
