Bullard High School Gym, FUSD

As one of the premier athletic schools in the area, the Bullard Knights have longed to get rid of their antiquated swamp cooling system in favor of having cooling in their gyms. Net Positive designed the HVAC upgrade at the North and South gyms, including installing 3 new air handlers, a new chiller, 3 package units, and associated exhaust fans and controls. Additional improvements included block-wall enclosures to conceal new equipment and power upgrades to bring life to the design. Systems upgrades included: DX cooling in lieu of evaporative cooling in gymnasiums and locker rooms, New air-cooled chiller using new low-GWP refrigerant, Full EMS integration of new equipment and upgrades of existing buildings to improve system reliability and energy management.
